About truerecs.

truerecs is where fans find what musicians use: the gear and software in their setup, what they wear, and the things they love outside the studio, each item sourced from public interviews, videos and posts. Artists can claim their page and make it their own. Every item links to stores that sell it, so fans can shop an artist's setup.

How it makes money

When you buy through one of our links, the store pays a commission. It never changes your price.

Artists keep 100% of the commission on every sale credited to them for their first 90 days, then 85%. A sale is credited to an artist when you buy from their page, or when you pick them under “Credit an artist” on an item's page. When a sale isn't credited to anyone, the commission goes to truerecs.

Later, brands will be able to pay for campaigns with artists who choose to take part. Paid placements are always labeled, and artists can say no to any brand. Our affiliate disclosure has the details.
