Alvvays have said they use Molly Rankin's vintage Fender Duo-Sonic and Alec O'Hanley's Fender Jazzmaster, played through a Fender Champ and Deluxe Reverbs. Pedals they have said they use include an Electro-Harmonix Deluxe Memory Man, ProCo RAT and Dr. Scientist Reverberator, and they still record on a Tascam 388.

Molly Rankin has played a vintage Fender Duo-Sonic found in a Cash Converters on Prince Edward Island, and the band has said Molly also took a Fender Mustang and a Fender Jag-Stang on the road.

Alec O'Hanley has said they use a 2008 Fender Jazzmaster 60s reissue bought at the Toronto guitar shop where they worked.
