What guitar does Brent Mason play?

A Telecaster. His Premier Guitar Rig Rundown shows the primer-finish 1968 Tele he bought used in the 1980s, with a Glaser B-Bender, a neck mini-humbucker and a Seymour Duncan middle pickup. Fender now makes it as the Stories Collection Brent Mason Telecaster.

His site lists the Vintage Sound Brent Mason Signature 45. In his Rig Rundown he ran a modified 1965 Fender Bassman head, a PRS H head and a Matchless DC-30.

What is the Brent Mason mod?

A three-pickup Telecaster wiring: a Tele bridge pickup, a neck mini-humbucker and an added middle pickup with its own blend control, as on his 1968 Tele and the Fender Stories Collection model.

What pedals does Brent Mason use?

His Wampler Hot Wired V2 overdrive, plus, in his Rig Rundown, a Dunlop wah, Wampler Ego Compressor, Xotic RC Booster and BB Preamp, Way Huge Red Llama, Electro-Harmonix Stereo Memory Man and Wampler Faux Tape Echo.
