Richard Kruspe plays his ESP LTD RZK-III with Fishman Fluence pickups through Mesa/Boogie Rectifiers and a Kemper. Paul Landers has said he played direct through his Tech 21 PL1 Fly Rig. Oliver Riedel plays a Sandberg signature bass and Christoph Schneider plays SABIAN AAX and HHX cymbals.

What guitar does Richard Kruspe play?

His ESP LTD RZK-III signature, a Phoenix-inspired model with a stoptail bridge, a reversible kill switch and his Fishman Fluence humbuckers. Guitar World reported he recorded with his ESP RZK-I signature.

What amp does Richard Kruspe use?

In 2025 he told bonedo he still has his early 1990s Mesa/Boogie Rectifiers and builds his own Kemper profiles for live shows. Guitar World reported Friedman heads and a Rectifier in the studio.

What does Paul Landers use for his guitar sound?

His Tech 21 Paul Landers PL1 Fly Rig, plugged straight into the board with no amp. Before it he played a SansAmp PSA-1 and a SansAmp GT2, with an MXR Carbon Copy Deluxe for delay.
