What guitar does Slash play?

Slash is known for Les Pauls: a Kris Derrig replica on Appetite for Destruction and "Jessica", his main stage Les Paul since 1988, now a Gibson signature. He uses his Magnatone SL-100 amp and Seymour Duncan Slash 3.0 humbuckers, and in 2024 was seen with a Gibson 1963 Firebird V.

What guitar does Slash play?

Mostly Gibson Les Pauls. He recorded Appetite for Destruction on a Kris Derrig Les Paul replica, Gibson gave him an '87 Les Paul Standard, and "Jessica" has been his main stage guitar since 1988. On the 2024 blues tour he was seen with a 1963 Firebird V and his Slash ES-335.

Does Slash have a signature Les Paul?

Yes, several. Gibson makes the Slash Collection Les Paul Standard (2020), the "Victoria" Goldtop (2020) and the "Jessica" Les Paul Standard (2024), and the Gibson Custom Shop made a Slash "Appetite" Les Paul in 2010 modeled on his Derrig replica.

What amp does Slash use?

Slash uses his Magnatone SL-100. He told Guitarist in 2026 he quietly replaced his Marshalls with Magnatones on the Guns N' Roses tour after recording Orgy of the Damned, and the 2024 Rig Rundown showed Magnatone Super Fifty-Nine M-80s.

What pedals does Slash use?

The 2024 Rig Rundown shows an MXR CAE Boost/Line Driver, MXR Uni-Vibe, Boss DD-3 delay and a Peterson StroboStomp tuner. He also has an MXR Slash signature talk box and compares it to the Cry Baby wah.

What pickups does Slash use?

Seymour Duncan. Premier Guitar says he has used them since Appetite for Destruction, and in 2026 he installed his hotter Slash 3.0 humbuckers in several touring guitars, including a Les Paul Goldtop.

What strings and picks does Slash use?

Ernie Ball .011 to .048 strings and Dunlop Tortex 1.14mm picks, per the 2024 Rig Rundown.
