About Plini's gear.
What guitar does Plini play?
Plini uses a signature .strandberg* Boden Plini Edition, modded with Fishman Open Core Classic pickups by 2024. He has also been seen playing the Boden Prog NX 6 and Neck-Thru Plini Editions and the single-cut Sälen NX 6 Tremolo Plini Edition, launched in 2023.
What amp does Plini use?
Plini uses a Neural DSP Quad Cortex, and has said every guitar on the 2021 track "Pan" was recorded with it. Before that, Guitar.com noted his Fractal Axe-Fx III in 2020, and in 2015 Plini named an Axe-Fx II.
What plugins does Plini use?
On An Unnameable Desire, Plini mainly ran Neural DSP's Archetype: Petrucci and Archetype: Mateus Asato, with Archetype: Gojira X for heavier parts. The signature Archetype: Plini X was used for all guitars on "11 Nights".
What strings does Plini use?
D'Addario lists NYXL 10-46 Balanced Tension sets on its Plini artist page, quoting him: "D'Addario strings are incredibly reliable on tour and in the studio." In 2015 he named Ernie Ball 10s and Red Bear Trading Co. picks.
